Learning from warmth, circulation, and classical Chinese Medicine philosophy
Within Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophy, warmth is associated with vitality and movement, while cold is often described as slowing, contracting, or depleting.
As a student of Chinese Medicine, this session allows me to work practically and respectfully with these ideas, using warmth and touch as supportive tools for comfort and regulation — not treatment.
The Theory Behind Moxibustion
Moxibustion traditionally involves the warming of specific areas of the body using mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris). Classical texts associate it with supporting Yang energy and circulation.
In this offering, moxibustion is applied indirectly only, within conservative safety guidelines appropriate to student learning. I do not select points diagnostically or treat conditions.
Tui Na–informed bodywork is used alongside warmth to support relaxation, circulation, and embodied awareness.
What a Session May Include
• Intake and wellbeing discussion
• Tui Na–inspired manual techniques
• Indirect moxibustion with careful monitoring
• Guided breath awareness
• Integration and gentle aftercare suggestions
Student Scope & Safety
This session is offered as complementary wellbeing support only.
I am a Chinese Medicine student, not a registered practitioner.
No diagnosis, acupuncture, or medical treatment is provided.
Closing Reflection
This session is especially nourishing for those who feel depleted, tired, or in need of gentle warmth — physically, emotionally, or energetically.
Love,
Cristina
