Rapé although is considered a tobacco product and plant medicine for the tribes who use it, it does not have the same addictive nicotine properties as smoking tobacco or hallucinogenic effects on the individual.

No, Rapé is not a psychedelic and will not produce hallucinogenic effects. This is one of the most common misconceptions about the medicine, and an important distinction for those who are curious but cautious about plant medicine work.

Rather than altering your perception of reality, Rapé works by bringing you more fully into it. The experience is grounding and clarifying allowing you to hold a deeper connection to the body and the earth. On the day, wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is recommended, and try to give yourself space around the appointment, avoid scheduling anything immediately after that requires you to be mentally sharp or emotionally "on."
